The Investiture Ceremony, one of the most prestigious celebrations conducted by Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, was solemnized grandly on 29-July-2024 at the school grounds. The programme started with a welcome note by Miss. Pavani, grade 10 and Miss. Harini, grade 9. At the very outset, they mentioned the chief objective behind celebrating the Investiture Ceremony, that is, induction of newly elected council members into the school cabinet, encouraging them to take on leadership roles and responsibilities; The aim of the ceremony is to reinforce the core values of the school which are self-reliance, punctuality, discipline, respect and honesty and develop important skills such as decision making, teamwork and accountability to emerge as well-bred leaders.
The programme formally started with the unfurling of tri colour national flag by Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Institutions. It was followed by the unfurling of the school flag by Sri MVVS Murty, the Senior Principal.
Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, the Joint Secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, presented the sashes and badges to master M.G.V.S.S. Snehith, the School Captain; miss A. Yasaswini and master N.V.M. Satya Mukesh, the school Vice-Captains; the four House Captains and House Vice-Captains. The prestigious school flag was handed over to the School Captain. The Chola House Flag, the Kakatiya House Flag, the Maratha House Flag and the Mourya House Flags were handed over to Miss. N. Anvitha of grade 9; Miss. Lasya Siva Lakshmi of grade 9; Miss. S. Parnika of grade 9 and Miss. N. Jyothika of grade 9 respectively.
The March past, the grandest of all the events of Investiture Ceremony, stood as the most spectacular one. The march past team cast its spell to which the dignitaries on the dais, guests, teachers and students remained bound as it happened.
The Students’ Council took its oath and pledged to uphold loyalty to the traditions and ethos of our school. Master M.G.V.S.S. Snehith, the School Captain, spoke on set of skills provided by the school. He opined that these skills would help them aim high and keep them get updated.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. M.V.V.S. Murthy, the Senior Principal, expressed his opinion that hard work and discipline would surely bring us recognition. Exemplifying the core dialogue of Spider Man ‘If great power comes, great responsibilities come’, he reiterated the importance of being a responsible and consistent performer.
‘When you do good things as a habit, you will become a leader’ says Mr. Ch. Vijay Prakash, the Joint Secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Institutions. He strongly suggested following the core values from the bottom of the heart. He asked the students to do the things with devotion rather than showing off with open hearts. Things, when done with no heart, will only result in self-destruction and doom.
The Sun in the sky and our student council members on the ground shone equally brightly on this D-day.
