The students of grade 8th to 10th narrated many interesting stories as a part of Monthly  Eenadu competitions that are held in our school and  instilled enthusiasm among the children. D. Kuhali of grade 8, G. Sri Rama Santoshi of grade 10, G Krishna Chandana of grade 9  captured the gathering through their fictional and non-fictional stories and grabbed 1st , 2nd & 3rd prizes respectively.  They instilled the young minds moral stories. Children were overjoyed listening to the bed-time stories, and moral stories.

Adolescence is the   time where food plays a vital role in making the individual  grow into a robust and healthy person.   Considering the need to educate the students in the age group of 12 to 14, on taking healthy food ,  the Atithi programme was conducted for grade 7 and 8 students on 24 th December. Dr T Shanti , MD Psychiatry, was the guest speaker  who gave the FOOD FOR THOUGHT to the  young minds with her interactive session. She spoke on how to create interest in  eating foods which is not liked  otherwise . Her explanation on RAINBOW PLATE - making the diet complete by eating all rainbow coloured  veggies or fruits daily triggered the young minds as they readily agreed to  make their  diet RAINBOW coloured. Dr Shanti answered the queries of the enthusiastic students who realised that many of them were malnourished when they compared their  physical condition to the ten scale yard stick explained by her. Overall , the session was very informative and interesting. Dr shanti too expressed her happiness on being an atithi on the same campus where she studied.

  On the occasion of 135th birth Anniversary  of the great mathematician Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan, Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni celebrated the National Mathematics Day with grandeur on 22nd December, 2022. Prakashites participated in the competitions related to mathematics , based on the theme of Millets in Mathematics, with a lot of enthusiasm.

Many  Charts , models and articles were displayed by the students based on the  elements of ratio , proportion, bar graph , mean, median , shapes  etc ., involving the  production  and challenging use of  various millets . 

Sri Rajesh Raju garu , Sri Prakash Junior college and Sri P. Raju garu, Maths faculty , ZPHS, Pydikonda graced the occasion as the guests of honour. Sri P. Raju gave  a motivational speech using the poetic expressions of Sri Gurajada Appa Rao ...

Our Prakashites made their  presence felt answering various questions on Indian culture, mythology , History etc in  the Quiz competition conducted by Bharath Vikas Parishath  on 21 October 2022 at  Pensioners’  hall, Court street , Tuni.  The  trio of  N J S S  Sahitya  and Ch Sravan Chandra of class X, B Sasi Venkat of  class VIII ,  participated  in the Quiz  programme  and  stood second in the competition. They  participated actively winning the praises of the audience    present  for  their quick responses. 

Brilliant partaking of Sri Prakashites , SPVN, Tuni in the  ‘Disha’ competitions conducted by Commerce stream ,  Sri Prakash  Synergy School, Peddapuram on 10.12.2022! The students of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni participated in the competitions of panel discussion, PPT, poster making , quiz and Ad-making conducted by the commerce stream as part of the Disha programme. K Shanmukhi (class X) bagged 3rd prize in the Brain storming the panel Discussioncompetition. S Cherish Varma(X), N L S Satwika (X), Ch.V Hema Vardhan (X) got 3rd prize in the quiz competition. Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan , Tuni has been awarded 'the all - round championship’ at 3rd place. Women protection is of the top most priority to the police – said by the Police Officials. Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni organised the Athithi programme on 8th December, 2022 for the students of class IX with an objective of creating awareness among the students about the dis advantages of misusing technology, consequences of cyber-crimes, the functions of Disha App etc. Mr. A Satyanarayana, Police constable, Tuni urban Police station, Smt. Y Navya Women PC, Tuni urban police station and Smt.  T Surya kala Police ward-16, graced the programme at Athithi and created awareness on cyber-crimes, Disha App, difference between good touch and bad touch, how girls are to take care of themselves, the results of using the current aps and their bad consequences, responsibility of the society towards the safety and respect for women etc. HM, SPVN, Tuni Smt. B Seetha rani thanked the Guest of honour and felicitated them with members. All the students of class IX expressed their gratitude to the police officials for innovating then about women protection! 

On 26th November, 2022 the young enthusiasts of Grade VI of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan , Tuni, visited ‘Sachivalayam’, the administrative office of local government which is under the supervision of the State Government, Mrs. Sree latha , Administrative officer,  explained the various functions performed by the  Sachivaalayam for facilitating the civic life- collecting taxes , supplying ration food, surveying the land , monitoring  the allotted areas through computers, pension distribution , house construction and so on. The students interacted with the personnel at the  Sachivaalayam and noted down the information shared . Later they presented their learning in the assembly  and also  wrote articles . 

The young Sri Prakashites of Grade VII,  Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni, visited the Weavers Cooperative society, ( Chenetha Varthaka Sangam )  Payakaraopeta  on 24th November, 2022 to have a  hands- on experience of  the art of weaving . This yatra was under taken as an extension to the learning  of  the lesson – ‘the art of weaving , in English reader . The President of Chenetha Varthaka Sangam   Sri. Robbi  Subrahmanyan Prasad enlightened  the children on the intricate art of weaving, explaining then clearly how designing , dyeing and weaving takes place in natural methods. The children had their quires on the beautiful art of JAMDANI weaving answered by the  weavers who were working on the handlooms. The students felt enthralled at the process  as the weft yarn loaded shuttle moved between the warp yarns creating the beautiful fabric.  The students also came to know the plight of handloom workers  despite the fact that hand loom industry  is the largest economic  activity in India after Agriculture.
