Learning outcome: Students will be able to understand the structure and functioning of the local self-government. As a part of our school curriculum students of Grade -4 visited Municipal office in Tuni.  The students understood that there are 30 Wards with 30 Council members.
The Children met the commissioner, Mr. Venkat Rao and also observed the different departments and their functions such as Revenue Department which collects taxes such as house Tax, shop tax, site tax and water tax.Sanitary department maintains the cleanliness of drainage, collection of garbage from roads. Town planning, which takes care of streetlights and buildings and repairing for running of schools.
This trip made the children felt the need of local self-government to take care of the needs of the people.

L.O.To make the children explore about the eating habits of animals and how to take care of animals.  the process and timings of milking, the number of times these animals are fed,   including grass feed which is balanced source of essential nutrients required for the body maintenance, growth and milk production. 

 The children also observed various breeds of cows and buffaloes.

Learning outcome:  Exploring different types of fruits, vegetables based on the colour, size and shape .

Today as part of the field trip, our Lower Kinder Garten (L.K.G) kids visited the Raithu Bazar at the market yard- Tuni. They identified all kinds of vegetables, fruits, flowers sold by the vendors. The children could identify the colours of the vegetables, fruits and other things available in the market.  They felt the texture, shapes and sizes too.They recognized the leafy vegetables such as coriander, cabbage,  mache, mint, curry leaves etc. Really, it was an exciting trip for the children to explore.

As Vinayaka Chavithi approaches, the students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan have initiated to celebrate the festival in a way that shows love for our planet. They have crafted eco-friendly idols of Vinayaka using clay. 

Many of us are worshipping and immersing the idols  made up of plaster of paris in harmful colours .So ,the idea is to encourage everyone to worship and  immerse  clay idols in water bodies  to reduce water and soil pollution and protect the animals in the water bodies.
Students have made their own idols and understood the importance of preserving the environment. Teachers have explained the importance of celebrating the festival in an eco-friendly manner to respect and protect nature.

Let us all celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with the spirit of protecting our planet 'The Earth' .

All the tiny tots who completed UKG in the year 2023-2024 were awarded Graduation certificates by the Joint Secretary Sri. Ch. Vijay Prakash. The Joint Secretary of Sriprakash Educational Institutions Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash urged the parents to spend quality time with children by narrating a moral story, highlighting invaluable life skills and such like instead of providing them expensive things. He also added that the tradition and culture of the country should be practised regularly in the school as well as at home. He shared about the core values of the school such as respect, honesty, punctuality, cleanliness and self- reliance. He informed the parents also to make the children experience these values and follow at home for the better future of the children. On this occasion the children performed dances, narrated stories and recited rhymes. The celebration is a great feast for the parents and children.

Learning outcome: Gain insight into the functions of a bank.
        As part of Yatra students of grade -5 were taken on a visit to The Vishakhapatnam Co- operative Bank of India on 13/08/2024 to have hands on experience in banking transactions which comes under their curriculum of Financial Literacy. "Credit in Financial system", The Regional manager of the bank Mr. Chinna Rao addressed the children and educated them by providing the required details such as opening of an account and shared differences between saving account and current account, types of deposits and explained fixed deposits & Recurring deposits. The children come to know different types of loans like educational loans, gold loans, Agricultural loans, and how to use  credit and debit cards. He also shared that all banks follow the guidelines of RBI (Reserve Bank of India).
Mr. K.Satyanarayana, committee member of the bank shared the main objective of the services of banks to the public. The apps provided by them and the way we can use them.
The students had a good exposure through this visit which was evident from the number of questions they raised on the guidelines and functioning of the bank

L. O: To observe different types of clothes. 

Today, as part of a field trip, children visited the Subham Grand Women's Shopping mall. There they observed the different types of clothes like cotton sarees, silk sarees, dresses, shirts, jeans and T-shirts for women. They understood that people keep them cool by wearing cotton clothes in summer and Silk clothes for any special celebrations like birthdays, festivals and functions. Children realised clothes not only protect our body, but also make us look beautiful. This trip made them compare the traditional and modern dresses of women. 

L.O: Children aware of healthy food.

As a part of Athidi programme we invited Mrs: Pujitha mother of Vennela, She explained the benefits of healthy food and balanced diet to be fit and strong. She shared the steps involved in the preparation of fruit salad. We used different fruits like apples, pomegranates guavas, grapes, papayas and bananas. She also added other ingredients like honey, custard milk and dates to make it delicious.
 First she made the children wash the fruits. Then the children chopped the fruits into small pieces along with her.  Next she added the custard milk, honey, and dates in the fruits slices for the energetic children to enjoy the healthy, delicious and yummy salad. It's a lovely experience for the children. She asked them to prepare it at home with their parents'  help and serve it to their loved family members.
