Field trips leave a great impact and energy in the young minds . The students of grade 8 had a knowledge gaining recreational day at sugar cane farm, of  the farmer Mr. Srinivasa raju who is cultivating sugar cane crop without using any kind of chemicals  in Sri Rampuram village. Sri. Raju garu  elaborated on the process of  Jaggery making from the sugar cane  while the students had  a live demonstration of  Jaggery making. They could taste the piping hot  syrup and the chemical free blocks of Jaggery. He also explained how to prepare natural pesticides like Jeevamrutham , Brahmastram etc . Students were over joyed by seeing the plethora of green fields.

Field trips help in experiential  learning, reinforcing the learning  from the text book for the children . The students of class 9 visited the betel leaf farm of Sri. Vemula Diwanam enroute to Mangavaram on 25.11.2022. They gathered information about the cultivation of betel leaves, their preservation and transportation. Mr. Vemula Diwanam , the farmer , explained the whole process of cultivating  the betel crop ,  the care of the farm ,  its transportation etc. He also briefed about the medicinal values of betel leaves in Ayurvedic field.  Along with this cultivation, to control insects, marigold grove farming is also done.  Students could understand they use of flax plants (avisa) in support of betel crop. Students and teachers got equipped with lots of information posing number of questions to the farmer. Finally, the knowledge gained was reflected in the articles that were presented by the students the next day.

L S Bhuvanesh, grade VI and T Aadarsh, grade VII stood First in Juniors category at the Mandal level in the Chekumuki Science fest 2022, that was conducted at  Raja High school, Tuni on 18.11.2022. Similarly Ch Vyshnavi – grade X, B Nishith, grade IX and B Sasi Venkat, grade VIII bagged the First place in Seniors category. The Chekumuki Science Test 2023 which is called chekumuki Science Sambaralu is a science fest that is conducted at school, District and State level by JVV (Jana Vignana Vedika) in two categories, Juniors & Seniors. It is conducted to encourage scientific temper in the young generation to grow up with right knowledge. The winners at the Mandal level are to participate at the district level which is to be conducted in the month of December. 

Sri Prakash students  brought laurels to the Institutions by bagging  many prizes in the  KRIYA state level  competitions which was conducted on 19th & 20th Novembre 2022in Kakinada. KRIYA is a  non government , non profit organisation working in the field of school education in Andhara Pradesh which conducts various competitions to encourage joyful and activity based learning among school children. Around  40 students of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, (HS) Tuni , participated in 17 events which included  Singing , Dancing , mimicry , Art, Craft ,Essay writing , Elocution etc. 

M Snehitha of  class – IX, with her wonderful performance in Ventriloquism   bagged 1st prize in the Mimicry  category.  G Sathvika of class- X bagged 1st  Consolation prize in Essay writing. The duo of  N L S sathwika S Cherish Varma bagged  3rd prize in Quize. M Sukrutha Chowdary of class -IX bagged 3rd prize in Mono Play.

Teachers are the back bone of the Education system. Students of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni (HS) paid their respects to their teachers by acting as student teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. They tried to understand the beauty, patience and perseverance in the profession of teaching by playing the role of a teacher.  Sanjana of class X played the role of the Principal exhibiting her true talents in Administration. S Cherish Varma of class X took charge of the Head Master’s post taking up the responsibilities, on that day. K Poojita and N J S S Sahitya played the roles of Proctor in CBSE & Primary wings each.  Other students who acted as teachers and the ones who were the students, enjoyed the day equally, learning many new things. At the end of the day, they shared their opinions and learnings with all. Each student teacher received a photo graph as a memento of the special day.

The 55th Library  week  celebrations were  held in the Town  library, Tuni  from 14th  to 20th November. Different competitions like Essay writing , Drawing , Elocution and Quiz were conducted  on this occasion. The students of all classes participated and rocked in the above events. All the efforts of the students made them succeed in many events . Sathwika of class X achieved 3rd place in Seniors Essay writing . S S Rajesh of class VIII achieved Consolation prize in Juniors Drawing competition. While G Krishna Chandana of class IX achieved 2nd prize in Seniors Elocution, M Veda Samhita of class VIII achieved 1st prize in Juniors Elocution. Ch Vyshnavi, N Satya Pavan, NJSS Sahitya of class X with their team effort bagged  1st prize in seniors Quiz .Similarly   G Hemanth ,K Jaisukh, and G Vivek stood first in Juniors Quiz.

Malla Pranathi , Class -VIII student @ Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan , Tuni secured second place in the District level in the Telugu Talent test 2022-23 conducted by Mana Samskruthi Network India PVT Ltd. She is going to receive her award on 20.12.2022 at Telangana Saraswath Parishat Hyderabad. The test was conducted in the month of September and more than 70 students from grade VI to X, took the test.

Grade 8  and  Grade  9 students had an  interactive session on ‘Banking’ with  Atithi, Mrs.  M Swetha , Associate , SBI Tuni,  on 22nd October. Mrs. M. Swetha who  happened to be our  former staff member, taught  Mathematics at SPVN, Tuni, Before taking up the  banking profession.

As a part of their social studies lesson on Understanding Banking , Mrs. M. Swetha gave a detailed explanation on the terms related to Banking – different types of banks , credit cards and debit cards, net banking , customer care services , different types of loans , Reserve Bank of India , different types of saving etc. She emphasized on educational loans and also briefed on the necessity of repaying loans properly. The students learnt a lot as they listened enthusiastically, noting all  the points.
