A great  achievement  and opportunity for NCC cadet P Vinay Vamsi Krishna of class  X from Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni (HS)! He is one among  the three cadets selected  from  Junior Division  6(A) Naval Unit – Kakinada  to represent  our state in ‘ Odisha Coastal Trek ‘ to be conducted in  Bhavanipatna , Odisha from 19th September to 26th September 2022. All together seven  cadets are selected from 6(A) Naval unit to form the team of 20 cadets that represent our state in the National Level NCC Trekking expedition. He was selected for the thrilling expedition after undergoing strenuous physical tests which included running and pushups. 

As we know , the 4th day of Bhadrapadha Month of Indian calender celebrates  the Birth of Lord Vinayaka . The Elephnat God  was all  happy finding himself crafted beautifully  in clay by the Prakashites. Students at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan  – HS, Tuni geared  up  well before  the day  of   Vinayaka Chavithi, as they learnt the nuances of the art of idol making from the craft teacher , Mr. Hari . They in turn taught and helped   the kids of Nursery   and Primary in making the idols of clay. They also advocated the benefits of  using  clay  idols against plaster of paris as they distributed  the idols to  the  Government Officials and important people of the town.  Each student  carried  his/her  own hand crafted idol home and celebrated the  festival happily.

Cadets of 6(A) NAVAL UNIT ,Kakinada from   Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan (HS), Tuni attended the  ANNUAL  NCC camp, that was  held from 8th August,2022  to 16th August, 2022 at Aditya Engineering college, Surampalem in Kakinada.  Various competitions were conducted for  all the NCC cadets. Y  Jaya Satya kumar of class IX achieved gold medal in 100m running, bringing  laurels to the  school. Similarly  ,Ch Rohit(X), K Harsha (X),  Y Jaya Satya kumar(IX) won gold medal  in volleyball. HM  Sri. B Seetarani, Principal Sri. M V V S Murthy  and Joint Secretary Sri. Ch Vijay Prakash appreciated the achievers.

Our students D. Kuhali from class 8 and Ch Vyshnavi from class 10 proved their talent standing up as winners in the Bhagwat Geeta slokas competition which was conducted by Sri. Dadisetty  Narasayya Memorial charitable trust at Subham Function Hall on the occasion of Krishnastami, that is 19 th of August,2022. D Kuhali of class 8 bagged the first place in junior category and Ch Vyshnavi of class 10 bagged the second place in senior category in this competition. The students recited 13 th to 20 slokas from 12 th chapter ‘Priyastakam’ and gave explanation of their bhavas.

46th Foundation day  of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions  was celebrated on 18th  & 19th   August 2022 in a grand manner . This year , the musical show Gata Rahe Mera Dil, which is conducted as a part of the festivities  had a vibrant angle as  this edition was dedicated to the too legendary playback singers, Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar and Gaan Gandharva SP Bala Subrahmanyam . 

All together there were 23 contestents in the junior catageory and 13 in the seniors representing all the Sri Prakash Institutions at Tuni , Payakaraopeta, Rajahmandary, Peddapuram and Kakinada. 

The audience had a gala time as the participants mesmaraised them with their songs . 

Mrs. P Malavika , noted playback singer of Tolliwood  who was the chief guest , enthralled the audience with her live performance . Similarly Sri. A S John noted flutist and Sri. A Satya Vishal , a gifted a violinist who were the jurists , made the audience spell bound with their live performa nces. 

 P Prasanna of class X and K Tejaswi of class VI, SPVN, Tuni got through the first round of singer’s choice to enter the finals on day 2 that is 19th August . In the final rounds , P Prasanna with her melodious voice and perfection , stood as 1st  Runner up . The gathering of students, parents , guests and the staff  enjoyed the programme throughly .

The Investiture Ceremony has been conducted in Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Payakaraopeta campus to inculcate leadership qualities,organizational skills and working in teams skills in Prakashites. All the school captains, vice-captains and all the four House captains and vice captains of Chola,Kakatiya,Maratha and Maurya have been given slashes according to their categories by the Guests of honour Dr.Vidya Sagar Behra, Dr.Padma Priya and Joint Secretary Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash. They took oath to execute their duties in a calm and peaceful manner. The Joint Secretary, Vijay Prakash addressed the selected council and he suggested them to perform their duties well. The Senior Principal, M.V.V.S.Murthy mentioned about this prestigious programme and advised the council to work collectively in disciplined manner. The Guests of honor were spellbound by the Investiture Ceremony and they appreciated the programme.

The 8 th International Yoga Day was organaised on 21st June, 2022 by the  Department of Ayush  at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni, with grandeur, giving the message of ‘Yoga for Humanity ‘. It was  a proud occasion for Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan as it was choosen as the venue at Tuni  Which is one of the three places in Kakinada District other than Kakinada and Peddapuram. Smt. Yeluri  Sudha Rani, the Chairperson of Tuni Municipality, Sri Prasad Raju the Municipal Commissioner of  Tuni, and the Coordinators of Ayush Department  Dr. Chandra Shekhar , Dr. Mohan Babu, Dr. Renuka and Dr. Rakesh   graced the occasion. 

The Yoga Master of Sri Kruthiventi Yoga Research and Training  Institutions, Sri K.S.N Murthy and the Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris Tuni, Kumari Madhavi  extended their kind co-operation and co-ordination for the successful organization of  the event.  The speakers explained the importance of Yoga in the development of Physical and intellectual abilities  in human life, to the students  in the event . They aspired that students  should understand the need and vitality of Yoga . The students enthralled  the  audience with different Yogaasanas.

 Parents, students, Sr. Principal Sri. M. V. V. S. Murthy, HM Smt B Seetha Rani , Proctors Smt. Madhavi Seetha Ratnam and Mrs. Prasuna Mouli, and  the teachers  participated in the event with fervor! All the participants were provided Nutrient food as  breakfast.  

Cadets of 3(A) Girls Battallion, Army   unit of  NCC from  Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni, successfully completed  the NCC Training camp conducted  at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Peddapuram, from 15th June,2022 to 24th June , 2022. N.C.C. Drill , Games   and cultural activities were  conducted along with the celebrations of International Yoga Day on 21st June,2022. The students  of  Sri Prakash  stood winners in Kho-Kho. 3(A) Girls Bn NCC, Kakinada organised this  NCC camp. Commanding  Officer  Lt.Col.Kulshrestha and the Group commanding  Officer Lt.Col A.K Rishi  appreciated  all the NCC cadets who participated in all the events with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit.The Joint  Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational  Institutions, Sri Ch Vijay Prakash , Sr.Principal Sri M.V.V.S Murthy and H.M. Smt. B Seetha Rani appreciated  the NCC Cadets for their active participation in the camp events.
