Objective : Visit to a D- Mart to understand the exchanging of money in real life. 

As a part of field trip , children of class-2, have visited  D-Mart to understand the concept 'Money'. 

They have observed different grocery items such as sugar,wheat grains,  pulses,  rice bags , oil etc.They viewed soaps, shampoos, toothpaste,perfumes etc.They have seen foot wear of mem women and kids.They have noticed the dresses for men ,women and kids.Then they have found all the home appliances of different companies 

 After observing  all these  things, children have noticed  that there is a price tag on every item. They also  learnt the billing process  .They have noticed the columns  of a bill  like serial number , name of the item , quantity, cost of the item and total amount .They  have also noted the prices of some items with the help of teacher and the shop keeper. We bought foot wear,biscuits and dry fruits to  experience the billing using the digital machine.  They have counted the total amount and paid the bill.   They have observed that every item has a fixed price and understood the concept of discount.

Objective : To obseve and name the different types of vehicles. 

Today we have gone to  a fieldtrip to Bus Station and Railway Station of Tuni. First, children have observed the vehicles which are in the bus station such as buses, motorbikes, scooties etc.., Children have identified them, and also counted the number of wheels  that each vehicle has. Then, children visited the Railway station. All the children named the vehicles , such as autos, bikes, cars , etc at the parking area of the railway station. Children also viewed a train halted on the platform.  Next, children identified which vehicles move on the road and which vehicle moves on the track. Then we have gone to  the children park which is beside the Railway station.There they have enjoyed very well under the shade of Bamboo trees. This trip made the children to see and explore about the names,modes of transport and also learn relevant   vocabulary such as  wheels, tyres, stearing, seats, track,comapartments, platform,parking place etc.

As a part of field trip , children of class-3,have visited  Penmudi's Supermarket to understand the concept 'Money'. 

They have observed different grocery items such as wheat floor ,pulses,  rice bags, oil, spices like cardamom, pepper, cloves etc.They viewed  soaps, shampoos, tooth paste, perfumes and so on . After observing these all things ,  children have known that there is a price tag on every item. We have taken our students to field trip to Market Yard ,Tuni to observe the fruits and vegetables which we can buy in the market .Children  first observed fruits the vendors are selling such as Apples, Bananas, Coconuts,Guavas, Pomegranates and Papayas. Children touched the fruits and noticed that they are in different colours shapes, sizes and texture. They have  understood that all  the fruits can be eaten raw.

After that children observed vegetables  avalable with vendors such as Potatoes, Brinjals, Lady'sfingers, Bottleguard, Beans, Onions, Tomatoes, Cucumber etc.. They viewed some leafy vegetables such as coriander, Spinach, Amaranthus ,Fenu greek , Curry leaves etc. This trip made them know that vegetables  are in different sizes,colours, textures and shapes. Some can be eaten raw and some by cooking.They have understood,we must clean them before cooking or eating.

Children really enjoyed the trip by exploring different types of fruits and vegetables we get  in rainy season.

Every year August 29th is celebrated as Telugu language day to commemorate the achievements of prominent Telugu poet, writer, power and social visionary, Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy in the modern Telugu literature. On this occasion we conducted different events for 3 days for the students of Grade – 1 and 2  Rhymes recitation, Grade – 3 : Poems recitation , Grade – 4 & 5: Elocution and quiz in Telugu on the given topic .  All the events focused on the reading and writing skills of the students. We invited Sri B. Apparao- Rtd DIET collegePrincipal,Srikakulam, as our Visishta Athidhi. The Guest of Honour gave a message that  the 40years of hard work of Gidugu Rammurthy garu made us  learn the Telugu language easily. If  we are good at our mother tongue, we can learn other languages quickly. For this, students should develop intense interest coupled with regular practice. All the students participated enthusiastically in the events.

Objective:

To make the children understand the dairy farming - the way milk products supplied to people. We have taken grade 4 children to Madhura dairy farm on a field trip. 

 There children come to know  the Pasteurization of milk ,separation of cream from milk and packing of milk, curd and buttermilk . Children observed the milk products like cheese, ghee, paneer are processed.  In the diary farm they enquired about the number of cows and buffaloes . They also collected the information about the quantity of  milk supplied to the hostel children , to Tuni town and   villages near by. They have understood  the different breeds of cows and buffaloes such as  Haryana, Murrah etc.They also viewed the biogas plant  which produces biogas with the animal waste. This trip made the students experience the way farm animals  are taken care by  providing  shelter, good fodder and health care in dairy farms.                                                      

We have taken Grade – v  children to the fire station as a field trip to Andhra Pradesh Fire service, Tuni to understand the safety at the time of fire accidents. Mr. Venkata Ramana director of A.P.F.S & C.D.T.I explained the things which cause fire accidents. The Solid substance, liquid gas substances , short-circuit and metal  fire etc are generally considered as the reasons for fire accidents.  We can put off the fire by foam, CP, TUC and also dry sand basing on the causes of fire accident.

The team of fire fighters explained the different methods they use in different situations to rescue the victims of fire accidents. They have shown the ways they reach the bulidings in fire with safety precautions. They also practically showed Silver stars method, chaper method, Volgur Nelson method to save people who are  drowning  in the water or struck in floods. Children observed the equipment used by the fire fighters, also the different methods we need to use for the fire accidents caused by different materials.

Students have understood  the service they do to rescue the people and save the  lives. This trip has given them opportunity to feel the need of initiation at the time of accidents to save lives.

We have taken our students  to Sri Prakash Payakaraopeta campus for a field trip to observe  the different types of plants. There children observed the trees such as mango, neem, black beery, jack fruit, coconut, palm tree etc. Children learnt that these trees give us fresh air, fruits and shade.  Trees give shelter to birds and animals . Chiildren observed the strong woody trunk, many branches of them. We also explored the  herbs  like spinach, turmeric & tulasi  and found that they have thin green stems.  We  also view the ‘shrubs’ which have thin woody stems such as Green chilli, Hibiscus, Pomegranate & curry leaves. Finally we observed climbers like snake guard which need support to grow. Children experienced the types of plants and observed their parts. They could  feel that plants are in different sizes. All leaves are green in colour but in different sizes. Flowers are in different colours which make our  earth beautiful.
