Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan-Tuni, celebrated “Pongal”, the harvest festival on the eve of Sankranthi. The school ground was filled with enthusiastic children enjoying music and dancing to it. Our tradition and culture was followed in each and every activity of the celebrations. A few to mention were the Haridasu keerthanalu, Kite decoration, Bommala koluvu, Bogi Mantalu followed by pooja performed by our students. Teachers prepared pongal in earthen pots on bricked stove using fire wood and offered to Sun god. Children created Rangoli patterns resembling Dhanurmasam muggulu were praise worthy in the celebrations. In this celebration Mrs. Ch.Rama Seetha, Treasurer of Sri Prakash Educational Society took part and blessed the kids on the occasion of Bhogi pallu. This celebration was indeed a wonderful activity for our students to know our tradition and culture better.

Sri K. Dharma Raju, Head constable in border security force (BSF) was invited as our Athidhi  to interact with the students of 5th, 6th and 7th at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, CBSE, Tuni.Mr. K. Dharma Raju has been working in BSF since 2004. Presently he is working in the state of Rajasthan in Jaisalmer district for Pakistan- India border. He explained about the line of control. It is also called zero line. They are the front liners on the border before the army soldiers. He motivated the children to dream of becoming the soldier and asked children to be fit and healthy. He said that discipline is more important to join in BSF and the minimum qualification is 10th for the post of constable and for the higher ranks minimum qualification is degree.He even shared about the Battalions. There are 13 main Battalions in our BSF.  Each Battalion has 1300 members and divided into different committees from A to G category. He explained about all the paramilitary forces of India using Audio- Visual aids. They are Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and National security Guard (NSG).

Christmas eve was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal at Sriprakash, Tuni. The kids were more excited about the celebration of the fest. Our tiny tots of Kindergarten spread the essence of Christmas spirit by dressing up as Santaclaus and angels. A few students brought the festive mood to the campus with their mesmerizing carols on Jesus.The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was not only amply visible on the faces of the children during the decoration of the Christmas tree but also reverberating in their carols and dancing to the tunes of jingling Merry Christmas.

On the occasion of 135th birth anniversary of Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan, a well known mathematician, different activities are conducted in Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Tuni. The students participated very enthusiastically in the activities and competitions on tables and Quiz on Math. The students prepared articles on different topics related to Math such as symbols used in math, invisible math, how to learn math and what math is all about. In the celebration the students gave their best to present the projects given to them. Today's guests of honour Mr. Rajesh Raju, senior faculty in Sriprakash Junior College and Mr.P. Raju, School Assistant in Math, Paidi Konda Village explained the logics in Math and inspired the students with the information of future career in Math. All students and heads of the institution took part in the event. These activities are helpful to improve accuracy, logical thinking, critical thinking and also to build team spirit.

Students need several skills to improve and succeed in their life and career. Sriprakash provides  a slew of such opportunities to students  to hone their creative best. Children's Carnival was organised at the Tuni campus, involving the students from Nursery to 3rd class on the theme- "Seasons we Experience".  Children prepared different art and craft exhibits depicting the relevant things we use in different seasons such as winter, spring, summer, monsoon and autumn. A few exhibits were prepared to depict the climate in India during these seasons. Children actively explained to all the visitors in the carnival the seasonal festivals we celebrate and the seasonal fruits we relish.  They also enjoyed the activities on parent-child bonding like mehandi, ice challenge and uppu bastha, exclusively for parents and children. Children showed their craft skills by making print-on-hand kerchiefs and greeting cards, using sponge and stensil print. Children made money-banks, pen stands and flower vases, reusing the paper rolls and made some money too by selling them out. They also tried a hand at making cane baskets in a live stall put up for the day.  A good variety of Creative Carnival should have encouraged the children to understand the importance of crafts and artistic presentation in our lives.  Sri Ch.V.K. Narasimha Rao, Secretary and Correspondent and Smt Rama Sita, Treasurer of  SPES viewed the exhibits and lauded the smart team skills of the students. Senior Principal Mr. M.V.V.S. Murthy and the other heads of Sriprakash Educational Institutions paid a visit to the Carnival.

Successful parent involvement in children's education has shown positive impact in the development of children. As part of educational trip the students of Grades – 1 & 2 visited Payakaraopeta campus to learn about the different kinds of plants, the dairy farm and the Biogas plant. They learnt that there are around 200 cattle in the farm. The cows are fed 2 times a day with wheat flour, grams, corn and grass.Each cow gives 30 litres of milk in a day. The cow milk is packed in a packet through machine and sold in the market. They also learnt about how the biogas is produced and how it is used for cooking food in the mess. The students observed the different kinds of plants and trees like coconut, papaya, plantain, chickoo, curry leaves, paddy, neem, onions and turmeric and they also learnt the process of biogas. They understood that if cow dung and urine are collected systematically,we can produce biogas from which electricity and cooking gas can be generated. Children felt amused with the trip as they had a live experience.

The students of Grades- 6 and 7 were taken on a field trip to the Village Panchayat and the Primary Health Centre of Srirampuram as  part of rural administration lesson. The students observed different departments in the health centre such as nursing station, pharmacy, medical officer room, laboratory room, labour room, operation theatre, dressing chamber etc. Around 22 villages people visit this PHC for their health care. The Government provides the medicines and health equipment whichever is required as per the necessity of the people. After that students visited a village panchayat which is called Sachivalayam in present days. They had a good interaction with the Panchayat officers and the Executive officer of healh centre. They noticed that the Panchayat implements development programmes for all villages that come under it and solves the problems of the village. The students had an awesome experience with village administration in the trip.
