For Grade – 1: Rhymes recitation, Grade – 2 &3 : Poems recitation, Grade – 4 & 5: one minute speech in Telugu on the given topic. Grade – 6 & 7: picture description. All the events focused on the reading and writing skills of the students. We invited Sri B. Apparao- Rtd DIET college Principal-Srikakulam, as our Visishta Athidhi. The Guest of Honour gave the message that the understanding method is better than the byhearting method. He also added that if we are good at our mother tongue, we can learn other languages quickly. For this, students should develop intense interest coupled with regular practice to achieve it. All the students participated enthusiastically in the events.
