We took our L.K.G and U.K.G State board children on a  field trip to different places in the neighbourhood. Our kids visited the Lord Venkateswara Swami temple at Suravaram and the Church in Payakaraopet. On the way we saw some land marks such as a Mosque, the police station, a Bank, the Market, the Railwaystation, the Bus Complex and a park. The Children learnt about different places in our neighbourhood

L.O:- Knowing about the places of worship and Holy books of different religions

As part of field trip we visited a temple, a church and a mosque in our Tuni town. Lord Venkateswara temple the priest performed pooja , in the mosque Peshmam  offered Namaz and showed the holy book Quran to  the children. In the  church the paster gave a speech about Jesus Christ and showed the holy book, the Bible.  The Children understand that different religious people go to different places of worship and read their holy books.

On the occasion of the world children’s day (20/11/16) “Food sharing” event was organized for the primary students. On this day the children were asked to bring from home five different nutritious recipes. Later under the guidance of their teachers, the food items brought by the children were shared among them all. This inculcates the precious Quality of oneness and wipes out the feeling of loneliness.  Every teacher created awareness on balanced diet and also motivated the students about table manners. Along with a wonderful trip to Oddimetta, and other activities like storytelling, songs and games, this made the day memorable for the children.

The VII th Cluster Inter Telengana – Andhra Pradesh Kho Kho Meet was grandly held at Sriprakash Vidya Soudham, Payakaraopeta for three days, from October 3rd to 5th. Twenty Teams vied for the top honours..  Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash Jt. Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Society and Sri S. Venkateswara Rao, observer declared the meet open in the presence of all the participating teams. Sri Paresh Kumar Dash, Sports Meet Convener, ensured all required facilities for the comfortable stay for all the participating teams and their officials and coaches.  The tournament was strictly organized in accordance with the Olympic Standards under the flood lights as per the time schedule.  

Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash, Jt. Secretary, stated that the students should not only devote their time   for studies but also spend at least two hours in the play ground.  All-round development of the students is the main motto of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions.

For the third consecutive time Sri Prakash stood as proud Winners in the CBSE Cluster  VII Inter State Kho Kho Meet. In the Finals Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Payakarao Peta and Sri Vivekanand Central School, Tenali,  fought neck to neck.    Harvest Public School, Khammam (Telangana) stood third and Caramel Convent High School, Manchiryala (Telangana) got the fourth place. 

Addressing various participating Teams and their officials Sri MVVS Murthy, Senior Principal was happy this meet was held under the observance of the umpires appointed by the Sports Authority of India. He stated that the winners and runners-up are going to participate in the CBSE National level Kho Kho Meet.   He desired that Students should treat the victory and defeat with the same spirit and then only sportive spirit can be cultivated by them.

The Sports Meet was held under the supervision of the observer appointed by the Sports Authority of India, and the qualified umpires officiated to conduct the games. 

The Department of Chemistry of SPACES Degree College has organized one day workshop (CHEMI SYMPOSIUM) on “Pharma Industry & Career Options”. On that day, the guest speakers Mr.Vikram Sharma, Senior Manager L&D at Cipla Ltd and Mr. P Krishna Kumar , HR Operations , Cipla Ltd has interacted with the students and highlighted about the key role that the pharma industry plays and opportunities in it.

Field trip to dairy and milk chilling center, at Sri Prakash Educational Society, P.L.Puram.  As part of curriculum, the students of class VIII - Sri Pakash Vidyaniketan,Tuni , visited the Dairy and milk chilling center, at Sri Prakash Educational Society, P.L.Puram on 7th September.  The Students interacted with the caretakers at the plant and knew the following things.

• Identifying various kinds of cows, their food styles with respect to their milking capacity. 

• Understanding the process and timings of milking.

• The necessity of cutting grass? 

• The necessity of keeping the surroundings clean?

• Various breeds of cows and buffaloes.

• Process of making mild into curd ( scientifically) 

• Process of pasteurization, cheesing, chilling, packing and transporting.

•  Huge process handled by few persons with meticulous planning.

• Further utilization of waste from the dairy.  

The field trip turned out to be great enlightenment to the students.  Some of the students may become agriculture veterinary professionals later in their career. 

Inspired by the proud quotation of the emperor of Vijayanagaram ' Sri Krishna Devarayalu', we celebrated the Telugu Theme Day grandly at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham, Payakaraopeta. All the students participated eagerly in this occasion. As part of Celebrations we conducted competitions like essay writing, elocution and poem recitation. We gave away prizes to the winners in essay writing, elocution and poem recitation. Most of the parents have come and enjoyed the presentations of the students. Sri Vedula Subramanyam came as a Guest on this occasion. He gave a valuable message regarding the importance of the mother tongue, values and students’ vital role in making a better society.

Grade3 students were taken to the neighbourhood service places like post office, Municipal Office and super market as part of life skills activity which is connected to their lesson “ Places that help us”. This drive helped the students to get awareness of the different services. They had an informative chat with the people who are working in the different departments.  Mr. Venkatareddy, senior assistant, Municipal Office, Tuni, shared about their respective departments.  The children came to know about the receiving and delivering of the letters in the post office.  They curiously participated in knowing the right quality and quantity of things.  Such trips motivate the young minds to accumulate the varied knowledge and information.
