SPANDANA CASTES A SPELL ON SRI PRAKASH YOUTH

SriprakashVidyaSoudham at Payakaraopeta was the centre of galvanizing activity for the last three days in a Youth Festival Format. SPACES Degree College, Sri Venkateswara College of Education, Sri Venkateswara College of Primary Education, Sri Prakash College of Physical Eduction and Sri Prakash College Of Engineering vied with one another in the vibrant Intercollegiate cultural and Sports competitions from 28th to 30th Dec.

The closing ceremony had Professor G.Nageswara Rao, Vice Chancellor, Andhra University,as Chief Guest and ARKJ Sharma, senior project manager, infosys as Guests of Honour. The Proceedings started with the

presentation ofa comprehensive report by the Convenor of Spandana, Dr K Veerraju, Principal-in-charge of SPACES Degree College.  A Panel Discussion on “DIGITAL LITERACY", was conducted with the students as the panelists.The student panelists were unanimously agreed on the change for the better for a corruption free country and a better India of tomorrow. The Vice Chancellor was felicitated by Sri Ch.Ajay Prakash Vice President of SPES and Sri Ch Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Society. In his address to the students, Prof G.Nageswara Rao Vice Chancellor, Andhra University appreciated the students' efforts for their active participation and sportive spirit. He referred to the greatness of the 90 year old Andhra University it was a rare meeting place of Bharat Ratnas like Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishan, Sir CV Raman and and Rabindranath Tagore at a rare function, which never happened in any other university. He enlightened on the students’ responsibilities towards cashless society, which can take us on the road to progress. He elaborated on the advantages of cashless transactions and urged the students to go for thedigitalized world.  He appreciated the contribution of the Indians at the global level like in NASA space programs and software. He hailed our ageold culture and contributions of our wise sages and ancient scientists. The next item was the release of Sri Prakash Year Calendar for 2017 by the eminent Guests. Later the Guests of Honour stressed the need for the all round utilisation of the opportunities. They felt that students with extracurricular skills can certainly grow confident  in their chosen career.  The presentation ceremony was a memorableoccasion for all the winners and the prizes were given away for music, dance, theater arts, fine arts and sports and games.
