On the grand occasion of 70th Independence Day, Mr. S. Satyanarayana A.E. (Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company, Tuni) was invited as the chief guest.
As our school representative Dr. Kasireddy Veerraju, Principal of SPACES degree college and an alumnus of Sri Praksh Educational Institutions joined us in the glorious celebrations.
The chief guest Mr. S. Satyanarayana hoisted the tricolor flag and took the guard of honour from our NCC cadets. The 6th Andhra Naval Unit, School boys group, school house teams and the 3rd Andhra girls battalion participated in this event.
Later our primary kids from classes 3,4,5 took the audience into the turbulent days of the Quit India movement (8th August 1942). Goavillia maidan in Bombay is the proud venue for the Quit India-Bharat Chodo Andolan to celebrate its diamond jubilee (75th year).
Children were dressed up like patriots and freedom fighters Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, C. Raja Gopalachari, Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi, Durgabai Deshmukh, Khan Abdul Gafhar Khan, Pattabhi Seetharamayya, Dr. Babu Rajendra Prasad, Moula Abul Kalam Azad, Jaya Prakash Narayana, Anurag Narayansinha, Madan Mohan Malavya and Tangutoori Prakasham Panthulu and came raised the slogans… Bharat mata ki jai, Do or Die, Vandemataram, Karenge or Marenge and so on.
All the children, parents, teachers, dignitaries recollected the patriotic moments of the Quit India movement with this parade. Children from different wings (sate primary/CBSE primary/High school) sang the patriotic songs.
Guest of honour Mr. S. Satyanarayana gave a thought-provoking message on respect the parents. Dr. Veerraju garu, Principal-in-charge, SPACES Degree College, shared his inspiring views on 5 V’s such as Vandanam, Vastram, Vinayam, Vivekam, Vidya which lead to the 6th V - that is victory.
The students of 10th class V.N.S. Keshav, CH. Manikyamba and M.P Sowmika shared about the Quit India movement and the developments in India in these 70 years after the independence.
Chief guest Mr. S. Satyanarayana and Sriprakash representative Dr. Veerraju gave away the certificates to NCC cadets for the year 2015-16.
