The 13th edition of SPANDANA, a creative festival, which started on 28th Dec came to an end in a glittering Closing Ceremony, celebrating creativity at its best for three thrilling days. The mini Youth Festival with more than thirty events in six categories—music, dance, llilterary events, theatre arts, fine arts and sports tested the mettle and wits of the contestants from SPACES Institute for P.G. Studies, SPACES Degree College and, Sri Venkateswara College of Education and Primary Education.The closing ceremony started at 3.00 pm on the final day. Sri K Veerraju, Convenor, Spandana came up with the final report. In this spell of SPANDANA, a total number of more than 700 students had contested. He congratulated all the participants and hoped that all students would learn valuable lessons from such high level competitions positively.
Ganitha Avadhanam at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan
Sri Prakash Educational Institutions organized Ganitha Avadhanam Programme at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni at 10:00AM on 21.12.2013, in which Sri Manepalli Nagarjuna, Secretary, Ramanujan Maths Academy, Ramachandrapuram,was the Avadhani, who made the audience awestruck with his wonderful performance in Mathematics. Thousand students, teachers, Headmasters from different schools, Secretary and Correspondent of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions Sri Ch.V.K. Narasimha Rao, Joint Secretary Sri. Ch.Vijay Prakash and elite of the town were the audience who were highly amazed at the expertise of Sri Manepalli Nagarjuna in Mathematics.
Famous Retired ISRO scientist, RJK Murthy, interacted with the students of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Payakarao peta. He said there is painful involvement with intellectual attachment from villages through their practical experience and knowledge, which develops scientific attitude. He appreciated the students of Sri Prakash who were selected for National Science Congress for their project on “BIO MASS ENERGY” which produces electricity and bio gas using waste material. He emphasized that scientific education should reach out to the common people especially villagers. He had a vast experience with Vikram Sara Bhai, Satish Dhavan and APJ kalam. He said that every student should grow as a scientist and work hard to fulfill the nation’s aspirations. He emphasized future India is in the hands of young minds with the inspiration of Abdul Kalam. Every student should inculcate patriotism, values, love and affection towards their motherland. He felt that he had been a student whenever he interaced with students. On this occasion Sri Ch. V.K. Narasimha Rao, Secretary and Correspondent, Sri Prakash Educational Society, Joint Secretary Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash and Senior principal Sri MVVS Murthy were present.
Sri Prakashites (E.M.) topped the chekumukhi science quiz – 2013 held on 15th December at JNTUK. The chekumuki science celebrations began on 21st November, 2013 and continued for 25 days. Initially in this chekumuki talent exam, 63 thousand students participated from both English and Telugu medium at the Mandal level. Out of these 63 thousand students, 62 teams were selected for the district level quiz. It was conducted on 15th December, 2013 at Kakinada. Out of the 62 teams from both the media, 5 teams from English medium and 5 teams from Telugu medium were selected for the final quiz at the district level. In this quiz, Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni stood as the topper from English medium at the district level, scoring the highest of all the other teams in the quiz. The Sri Prakashites selected in this quiz are: A.P.S. Manideep, G.S.G. Teja and D. Abhishek. This team is selected for state level quiz which will be conducted at Visakhapatnam in the month of January, 2014.
