Sri Prakash teachers – from school, junior college and degree college- fell in line to rally for traffic awareness about the usage of helmet in the twin towns of Payakaraopeta and Tuni. There was a serious concern about the growing untimely road accidents. Sri Prakash had sensed it and with the prompt encouragement from the rural S.P koya Praveen a resolution was duly taken and the teachers were to conduct a rally to educate and convince the denizens to wear helmets while riding bikes.
Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash Joint Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Society flagged off the rally which started at 9.30am sharp at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham. Sri K.Veerraju, Principal –in-charge was the coordinator of the rally. More than hundred members wearing helmets rallied for 10KM in Payakarao peta and Tuni, sloganing for safe ride and drive.
Speaking about this awareness campaign Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash said that if teachers campaign for a necessary change, society will accept it. And certainly they couldn’t have found a better day for such an expedition then their day that is Teachers day.
