Maa Saraswati's birthday which falls on Shuklapaksh panchami of Magha month is celebrated as Vasantha Panchami. As per Hindu mythology on this day, Prahlada was sent to Gurukul to gain knowledge. So, this day has a strong significance in any educational institution. On this occasion, a special pooja and 'Poornahuti homam' for goddess Saraswati was performed under the supervision of Executive Officer Sri. Penumtsa Viswanadha Raju at Sri Talampulamma Talli temple, Lovakotturu. Receiving invitation from Talampulamma Talli temple authorities, students and teachers from various schools attended the pooja which was conducted at the spacious hall of the newly renovated temple. Around 220 students and staff from Tuni Payakaraopeta attended the sacred homa performed by the temple priests. The Executive Officer and the temple authorities made all the necessary arrangements to make it a grand success. After the 'homa', the temple authorities distributed pens and 'prasada' (gift of God) to all the students and teachers. All the students and teachers had a holy bath in the ocean of devotion.
