Field Trip of Grade -4 to Muncipal office

Learning outcome: Students will be able to understand the structure and functioning of the local self-government. As a part of our school curriculum students of Grade -4 visited Municipal office in Tuni.  The students understood that there are 30 Wards with 30 Council members.
The Children met the commissioner, Mr. Venkat Rao and also observed the different departments and their functions such as Revenue Department which collects taxes such as house Tax, shop tax, site tax and water tax.Sanitary department maintains the cleanliness of drainage, collection of garbage from roads. Town planning, which takes care of streetlights and buildings and repairing for running of schools.
This trip made the children felt the need of local self-government to take care of the needs of the people.
