It was indeed wonderful experience to grade VIII students who could see in reality hundreds of ancient coins and fossils which were displayed by Sri K.Venkatesh an enthusiastic numismatic. The children were having lots of questions on currency which they learned as a part of their social studies lesson, when Sri. Venkatesh basically an electrical engineer with Deccan Fine Chemicals, started giving his thoughts on evaluation of coins and currency. He spoke at length about the study of fossils which brought along with him. The fossils we see today, he said were only 0.0001 per cent of living things buried billion years ago. He showed some tools of the ancient people too .most interesting part was to identify the stars and marks printed on coins which are called mint to identify where a particular coin was minted. After the class, the student went round the display and experienced the coins.
