As part of "Fire Service Week," Mr. K. Ramudu, Station Fire Master, conducted an awareness programme for students at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan (Tuni) to promote fire safety awareness. This year's theme, "Unite to Ignite, a Fire Safe India," emphasizes the significance of community involvement, education, preparedness, and innovations in fire safety.Fire Service Week is observed annually from April 14th to 20th in India, marking the anniversary of the Bombay Dock Explosion in 1944, where many firefighters perished. By starting with questions, Mr. Ramudu encouraged student participation, gauged their existing knowledge, and set the stage for an engaging and informative session.The session covered topics such as the causes of fires, how to prevent them, and the importance of fire safety. Mr. Ramudu shed light on different types of fire extinguishers and the scenarios in which they need to be used. Under the officers' guidance, students participated in fire drills, which helped them understand the practical aspects of fire safety.With his expertise and patience, Mr. Ramudu eliminated any ambiguity among the students about fire safety. The session concluded with a sharing of views from different students and a memento presentation to the fire department officers
