The Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan conducted ‘The Library Week’ from 14th to 21st of November, 2023 with a view to inculcating the value of reading books among the students. Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan has the best library holding a large number of books on various subjects apart from newspapers, magazines and a reference section. As part of the occasion, the students were made to visit the library and note down the titles of at least 100 books together with their authors and years of publication. This is made mandatory with a view to stimulating the curiosity of students towards the titles and content of books. An Elocution competitions was conducted on the topic ‘Importance of Libraries for Modern Society’. A quiz was also conducted for the students of Standards VIII to X on books and authors. The winners were given prizes.
