Sri Prakash has a tradition to respect all religions and to perform all important festivals of India. Today, at Sri Prakash Vidhya Soudham, the students of Sri Prakash Junior College, girls’ wing celebrated Onam with much pump and show.
Onam has a great religious significance among the people of Kerala. Through the celebrations of this festival, people show their gratitude towards the land for giving a good harvest. People offer prayers to lord Vamana and their beloved King Mahabali, for the well-being and longevity of their family members.
All the students wore Kerala’s traditional dress, Kasavu Sari, a traditional white sari with a golden border, left their long hair free and had seasonal flowers. All the atmosphere transformed and gave a complete festive look.
All the students formed into different groups and joyfully danced.
Sri. V.V.S.S. Bhanu Murthy, principal, Sri Prakash Junior College appreciated the performance of the students and wished the students would keep up the same spirit though out their learning period.
Heads of all Sri Prakash Institutions were present on the occasion.
