Independence Day Celebrations

Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan students celebrated the 78th Independence Day with grandeur. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Sri Veeravalli Murarji, Mandal Revenue Officer of Thondangi Mandal, Guest of Honour Sri M.V.V.S. Murthy, the senior principal of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, and the school headmaster, Sri D.L.P. Raju. Their participation added a special touch to the celebrations.

In his speech, Chief Guest Sri Veeravalli Murarji encouraged students to cultivate a passion for becoming great citizens of India from a young age. He emphasized the importance of utilizing early morning hours for learning subjects they are passionate about. The Guest of Honour, Sri M.V.V.S. Murthy, engaged the students by asking them to reflect on the true meaning of independence, highlighting self-reliance and the significant contributions of figures like Dr. Swaminathan, who played a crucial role in preventing famine in India. The headmaster, Sri D.L.P. Raju, praised the students for their endurance under the hot sun and urged them to be passionate about their future.

The event featured inspiring speeches and captivating dance performances by the students. Through their songs, students paid tribute to the sacrifices of India's great freedom fighters. The Chief Guest also distributed sweet lemons to promote healthy eating and discourage junk food consumption. The celebrations left everyone filled with a deep sense of patriotism as they returned home.
