Exploring plants

Students of class 4 & 5 visited Siva Satya Durga Nursery , Tetagunta to explore more about plants connecting to their lessons that how plants survive and increase in number.
             The gardener of the nursery showed the students varieties of plants like flower bearing, fruit bearing , croton and demonstrated the process of grafting where two varieties of plants are joined together and grown as one. By this, they have understood how new plants grow from other parts of a plant.
             Students observed rare varieties of croton plants which possess leaves of different colours and understood that carton plant leaves contain pigments of different along with chlorophyl. Some indoor plants like snake plants, Z plants which help in air purification. They were excited to see different varieties like red Amra mango, peanut butter plants cactus plants, and many varieties of floral plants.
