Sri Venkateswara College of Education, Payakaraopet hosted theAlumni PEARL ANNIVERSARY of B. Ed students down 30 batches. The first batch students of the 1984-85 academic year interacted with the current batch youngsters and exchanged pleasantries with their former teachers in the most endearing rendezvous.
The Alumni meet started with flag hoisting followed by Jyothi Prajwalana. Sri Prakash flag was hoisted by the first Principal Dr DSN Sastry and the Alumni flag by Sri Ch V K Narasimha Rao, Secretary and Correspondent, Sri Prakash Educational Society.
In the keynote address, Smt P Annie Amala, Principal, Sri Venkateswara College of Eduation acknowledged the services of the former principals and staff members. She also appreciated the Alumni’s contribution and hoped that they would continue to strengthen the institution in the future as well.
Sri Ch Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary, declared the Alumni meet Open, in the company of the other dignitaries, by releasing the pigeons in to the free skies. To witness how an educational complex can be integrated with an integrated Dairy farm and a Biogas plant, all the alumni were taken on campus visit.
After the lunch at Sri Prakash College of Engineering, Rajupeta, the alumni were welcomed with a melodious number. They shared their experiences and exchanged pleasantries. The first Principal Dr DSN Sastry, a retired Principal of Andhra Jatiya College of Education, Machilipatnam was felicitated by Sri Ch V K Narasiha Rao and the 1984-’85 batch students in honour of his invaluable contributions in the field of mathematics. Later the founder Sri Ch V K Narasimha Rao was felicitated by the B Ed trainees and former students.
Later in the following speeches Dr DSN Sastry gave a call to the youngsters to improve the quality of education by integrating their preparation with the technological advances. Sri Ch V K Narasimha Rao affirmed the institution is committed to bringing quality education with out any compromise on resources and the present generation should make the best use of every opportunity to further their careers by giving their best wherever they are.
The 30th anniversary of our alumni reunion was very important as it gave the alumni an opportunity to meet many of the co-teacher trainees after a long time. They could meet generations of teachers around to recollect the fine moments they had here, to network, to get updated, to get rejuvenated and to reconnect the past with the present and the future.
The former students and current heads of various Sri Prakash Educational Institutions from KG to PG—Sri K Veerraju, Sri Bhanu Murthy, Sri MVVS Murthy, Sri Md Ibrahim, Smt B Seeta Rani—and many B Ed trainees were also present on the momentous occasion.
