South Zone Hand Ball Tournament started grandly at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham by Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Society. Participants from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka,Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Anadaman Nikobar Islands Under-14 category boys – 26 teams, girls – 12 teams , Under-19 category boys-24 teams and girls – 15 teams took part in this Mega Event. Opening ceremony is started with Flag Hoisting. National Flag is hoisted by Sri Ch.Vijaya Prakash, Joint Secretary, Sri Prakash flag by Sri MVVS Murthy, Senior Principal and CBSE flag by Sri B.Srinivasa Rao, Official Hand Ball Match Observer appointed by CBSE board. Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash interacted with the students and said that every participant should treat win or loss in a same manner. Build the relationship with other state participants and show the Sportsmanship while playing the matches. Player who lost the match should feel happy to see his opponent’s win. Every winner should feel that his brother lost the match and expect his win in the next match.
After that Matches were started by taking sports pledge by all the players from various states.
