To have a live experience of the Terms and Things associated with ‘Weather’ a lesson in General Science, students of class VII were taken to the Meteorological department, Tuni. One of the 559 observations located in Andhra Pradesh, this observatory also known as surface observatory is the place to measure weather components like maximum – minimum temperature, humidity, rainfall wind speed and wind direction.
    Sri Ch.Apparao garu Assiatant observator guided the students to see all aspects and explained about the working of various instruments like thermometer, rain gauge, hydrometer, self reading rain guage, barometer, MMT, hydrograph, thermograph, wind vane, anemometer etc.
    He explained about naming the different cycles by different names. It was indeed a great educational trip wherein students’ curiosity on weather and nature were answered well.
