Grade VI – Lincoln recently hosted an inspiring session with Sri P. Venkateswara Rao, father of P. Gireesh Rahul, as part of the “Parent as Guest” initiative. A skilled goldsmith by profession, he took the students on a captivating journey through the intricate process of crafting gold ornaments. Sri Venkateswara Rao explained how raw gold is melted, shaped, and transformed into beautiful jewellery using a blend of traditional tools and modern techniques. He emphasised the importance of patience, precision, and creativity in his craft. The students were thrilled to explore the art of moulding, designing, engraving, and polishing, gaining a newfound appreciation for the artistry and dedication that every piece of gold jewellery embodies. This interactive session not only enriched their understanding but also instilled admiration for the skill and hard work behind every profession.
