As part of the “Parent as Guest” initiative, Students of Grade VI & VIII had a valuable interaction with Sri P. Naganna Dora, a dedicated farmer, who grows oil palm. He is the father of P. Susanth & P Joshna. He spoke to the students about palm oil plantation, explaining how palm trees are grown, the kind of soil they need, and the care required during each stage. He highlighted the importance of irrigation, regular pruning, and timely harvesting.
Sri Naganna Dora also explained how palm oil supports many households and contributes to rural livelihoods. His simple examples helped students understand how farmers work hard to bring essential products into our daily lives.
The session ended with students appreciating the effort behind farming and promising to respect nature and those who nurture it.
