Class VII Einstein had an enriching Parent as Guest session with Smt. S. Parimala, a gifted Carnatic music artist and the mother of S. Nanda Priya. She introduced students to the fundamentals of Saptha Swaralu—Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da, Ni—and explained how these seven notes form the base of every raga and melody in Indian classical music.
Smt. Parimala also spoke about the importance of regular practice, correct posture, and focused listening, which help young learners develop a strong musical foundation. She demonstrated simple vocal exercises, making the session interactive and engaging.
Students were fascinated to learn how each swara carries its own emotion and how Carnatic music blends discipline with creativity. Her passion and simplicity encouraged many to explore music with greater interest.
