Students of class VII went to Srirampuram on 31-1-2019 to learn the process involved under organic farming. Sri Satyanarayana Raju, agriculturalist and resident of Srirampuram hosted our students and staff.Farmers explained our students about the various processes like jeevamrutham, beejamrutham,acchadama,vaspamrutham that are used for organic farming.
Students were shown the process of organic jaggery preparation and the affects caused by artificial fertilizers on soil, crop and even our health. Satyanarayana Raju garu explained the nutritional values of organic farming by telling that 1500kg of sugarcane is going to give only 200kg of jaggery which is very pure and healthy.
He also told our students that liquids of leaves are extracted and sprinkled to increase the fertility of soil and Green manure is being used for crop production and sugar cane mud for more productivity.
Govt. Presonnel Project Resource Person Smt Gowri Parvati, Community Resource Person Smt. Naga Ratnam, Internal Resource Person Smt Padmavathi also participated in this Organic farming.
Students were really inspired by such organic farming and learnt its process and values.
