Independence Day Celebrations are held in Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Payakaraopeta, with pomp and gaiety. Sri Vibhushan Rao, Sub Inspector of Police, Payakaraopeta, hoisted the National flag and addressed the gathering .While he was addressing the gathering he wished all the students and expressed his happiness about the recent developments in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasised the need of unity ''One Nation and One Constitution'' from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. He felt very happy for the revocation of article 370 and 35A to bring entire nation together. All Students of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions participated enthusiastically and presented patriotic songs on this occasion.
