The 8 th International Yoga Day was organaised on 21st June, 2022 by the Department of Ayush at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni, with grandeur, giving the message of ‘Yoga for Humanity ‘. It was a proud occasion for Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan as it was choosen as the venue at Tuni Which is one of the three places in Kakinada District other than Kakinada and Peddapuram. Smt. Yeluri Sudha Rani, the Chairperson of Tuni Municipality, Sri Prasad Raju the Municipal Commissioner of Tuni, and the Coordinators of Ayush Department Dr. Chandra Shekhar , Dr. Mohan Babu, Dr. Renuka and Dr. Rakesh graced the occasion.
The Yoga Master of Sri Kruthiventi Yoga Research and Training Institutions, Sri K.S.N Murthy and the Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris Tuni, Kumari Madhavi extended their kind co-operation and co-ordination for the successful organization of the event. The speakers explained the importance of Yoga in the development of Physical and intellectual abilities in human life, to the students in the event . They aspired that students should understand the need and vitality of Yoga . The students enthralled the audience with different Yogaasanas.
Parents, students, Sr. Principal Sri. M. V. V. S. Murthy, HM Smt B Seetha Rani , Proctors Smt. Madhavi Seetha Ratnam and Mrs. Prasuna Mouli, and the teachers participated in the event with fervor! All the participants were provided Nutrient food as breakfast.
