Field Trip to Visakhapatnam Co-Operative Bank
As part of YATRA students of IX class were taken to visit Vishakhapatnam cooperative bank on 31/8/17 to give students hands on experience on bank transactions which come under their curriculum of social studies “ Credit In Financial System ”.The Regional manager of the bank Mr. Ravindranath addressed the children and educated them by providing many details.

*Types of deposits
*Types of loans and how to apply for loans.
*Usage of credit card and debit card
*Internet banking uses.
*About formal and informal credits.
*About Reserve bank of India
The main objective of the visit to cooperative bank was to make children aware of Self Help Group (SHG). They have known that SHG it is a typical group which is the building block of organization and it is a small voluntary association formed by poor people for solving their common problems through self help and mutual help. Each group consists of 15- 20 members.
The students could have a good exposure through this visit which was evident from the number of questions they raised on the functioning of the bank.
