L.O:- Children explore about the process of cutting of logs in to different sizes and shapes to make different furniture
We took Our children to field trip is to Sri Krishna timber depot near Lingalacolony in P.R.Peta. It was started 30 years ago. They get different types of logs of wood from different parts of our state by visiting the timber depot children learnt about the process of cutting wood in to required sizes and shapes according to the requirement to make different things like door, chair, cupboard, table and furniture etc.
The timber depot manager explained about the import and export of wood and cost of each ton of wood etc. They also showed the machinery used by them to cut the huge logs in to smaller pieces. Children observed different types of wood such as Mango, Teak and Rosewood etc…,
