As a part of our lesson safety rules from EVS, we visited Tuni railway station. There children observed auto stand, parking area for passengers. At the entrance we saw the statue of freedom fighter Alluri Sita Rama Raju .After entering inside we saw ticket counter, reservation counter, automatic ticket machine, ticket examiner’s office, parcel office, Manager Room, waiting hall, food stall and so on. We met railway station master and manager .They explained us about some safety rules and showed us signal room how they manage the movements of the train on the track. They shared some safety rules which should be followed at railway station
1) Never play/run on the platform
2) Never stand at the edge of the platform
3) We should go to the other side of the platform on foot over bridge not on the tracks
4) Don’t touch any electrical gadgets
5) Follow queue to take tickets
6) Don’t get in /off in a moving train.
There is also a proverb “cleanliness is next to godliness” is written on the steps, as to keep our public place clean. It is a wonderful learning experience for our kids.
