The students of grade-5 visited the heritage temple, the Oddimetta Swayambhu Ganesha Temple which is located at Namavaram as a part of fieldtrip to explore about the built Heritage and Trilingalu. Children observed the architecture of the temple which was built more than hundred years ago. They also saw the temple of Lord Shiva. The interesting part, it was built by Gudiwada Raju garu as lord Ganesha appeared in his dream and asked him to build the temple. Children observed the huge, strong and unique structure of the monument and they came to know how strong it was constructed. They also come to know that this building provided shelter for the villages during the floods. Children excited to see the branches of a peepal and a neem tree together look like namalu in any direction they see. Children could see different holy plants like tulasi,Beal etc… This field trip is a social experience that provides the opportunity for students to explore novel things.
