Students of Grade IV were taken to the paddy fields which was located in Ramabhadrapuram. Mr.S.V.Nageswara Rao explained about the importance of agricultural in our country and rice is the staple food for most of the people in southern India Paddy crop was grown two times in a year. It requires more amount of water. Water is supplied through pipes from nearby sources i.e. Thandava river per acre we get nearly 25 bags of rice when the paddy turns into Golden yellow colour it is ready to cut the crop. After harvesting the paddy crop they grow alternate crops like brinjal or chilli plants. Growing alernate crops are called crop rotation. If we grow same paddy immediately the plants do not get the required nutrients to grow yield of field will be less.Thats why crop rotation is necessary. After listening and observing these all, they understood that farmers play a vital role in the field of agriculture. Because of his hard work we are eating food. Farmers are the backbone of our agriculture. So ,βLET US NOT WASTE EVEN A SINGLE GRAINβ.
