As part of the Parent as Guest initiative, Grade VIII students at SPAES had an inspiring and informative interaction with Mr. V. Sridhar, parent of V Aasrija, an experienced Aqua Technician from Rajavarapu Hatchery, Addaripeta, Tuni. He shared in-depth knowledge about the field of aquaculture, explaining how different prawn breeds are produced and the scientific methods followed to maintain high-quality seed. He also highlighted that several hatcheries operate between Kakinada and Tuni, making this region a strong hub for prawn culture.
Mr. Sridhar described important species such as Vannamei and Tiger Prawn, discussing their unique features, growth patterns, and market demand. His explanations helped students understand how species selection, water quality, and proper management contribute to successful aquaculture.
Along with technical learning, he emphasized the importance of English communication, sharing how it supported him during his business visits to different parts of the country.
The session truly motivated students, encouraging them to dream big and build global skills.
