Traffic Police maintain order and safety on the roads. Traffic signs are the silent speakers on the roads. Be it the person behind the wheel or a pedestrian, having a sound knowledge about it. Road safety is absolutely necessary for all before hitting the road. We invited Mr.R.Siva Prasad ,Traffic constable, Adduroad as an athidi. He explained to the children that traffic control signals are devices placed along, beside, or above a road way to guide, warn and regulate the flow of traffic. He explained the meaning of the red, yellow and green lights ,he also said that traffic rules ensure safety on the roads and prevent accidents from occurring. He not only gave some road safety facts but also valuable tips on how to stay safe inside a moving vehicle, how to sit on a motor bike while going with their parents.
The session ended with an interaction with the children. He answered the questions asked by the children. They understood the importance of Traffic Rules.
