Imbibing Secular Values
Like all other festivals Ramzan is celebrated at Sri Prakash to ensure students do not develop a biased opinion. We instill a sense of secularism amongst them. Nursery Children invited SK. Abdhul mannan and SK Madeena as a guest of honour to celebrate Ramzan. They explained to the children the importance of Ramadan, they said Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims in which Allah, the Almighty opens his doors of mercy, forgiveness and blessings upon Muslims. They said that fasting during the month of Ramadan is to be carried out each day from when”The white thread of Dawn appears to you distinct from its black thread”.
They offer prayer five times daily 4.50, 1.30, 5.00, 6.45 and 8.30 every day in addition to the five daily prayers during Ramadan they go to the Masjid and spend several hours praying and studying the Quran. It’s a very essential gesture in schools that children pickup a lot from school by imbibing such values of being open minded and secular and helping in not developing natured in their minds when they grow up.
