KRISHNASTAMI@SRI PRAKASH

Janmastami is an annual Hindu festival celebrated with a lot of fervour. It is popularly known as Krishnastami and Gokulastami. Krishnastami celebrations were held on 28th August,2021 at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Payakaraopeta in full swing. Prakashites performed a special pooja to mark the significance of the day. The idol of Krishna was beautifully graced with garlands of marigold and Tulasi flowers and bansuri, since Lord Krishna is known to love dairy, he is offered butter,milk,curd, rice flakes, puffed rice and other sweets too. Children of primary and pre primary dressed as cute Krishnas and Gopikas. It was a beautiful delight to watch interesting stories shared by the kids on the journey of Krishna and the importance of the sacred food and so on. The breaking of treasure filled “Maati’ was the most attractive event in the celebration of the Birth of lord Krishna, who enchanted everyone with his playful mischiefs. 

The purpose of celebration was to inculcate the value of sharing and respect in students and drew a message that “Love is a consistent passion to give, not a meek persistent hope to receive.” The celebration was truly entertaining and edu-learning.
