Students celebrated National Mathematics Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of our great Indian Mathematician Sri. Srinivasa Ramanujan. On this occasion, various practical application themes were organized taking the theme “Math in Nature”. The faculty of Math department conducted various competitions like multiplication facts for grade 3, creating and solving Mathematical problems in daily life for grade 4 and discount offers for grade 5. An interesting moment was that all students used math pledge during assembly. Mr. Satish Kurra, senior faculty (math department) was the guest of honour for the programme. He explained the importance of numbers 0-9 in mathematics and demonstrated an easy method of multiplication of 2 and 3 digits in vedic mathematics and also advised the students to observe logic in solving a problems. Prizes were distributed to the winners and the students were more enthusiastic to participate in various activities on the theme of “Math in Nature.”
