Sri Prakash has a tradition to develop physical, mental and spiritual health among all students. So, Sri Prakash celebrates Yoga Day on 21st June every year to bring awareness about them and inculcating the importance of Yoga Day.
Yoga is an exercise that we perform by balancing the elements of our bodies. In addition, it helps us to meditate and relax. Moreover, yoga helps us to keep controlling of our bodies as well as mind. It is a great channel for releasing our stress and anxiety.
The U.N. General Assembly declared June 21 as International Yoga Day following a resolution moved by India and co-sponsored by a large number of nations. The first International Yoga Day was observed on June 21, 2015.
On the eve of Yoga Day all Prakashites have performed Yoga postures and Mudras to motivate others to keep their bodies and minds healthy. NCC cadets and NSS volunteers have inspired the gathering. Senior Principal Sri M.V.V.S. Murthy, Vice-Principal Smt. A. Aparna and In-charges have participated in this programme.
