Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22nd December on the birth eve of the greatest mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan every year. Prakashites have celebrated this festival on a grand scale in Sri Prakash Vidya Southam, Payakaraopeta. Students have demonstrated puzzles, brain-teasers, mathematical models to their co-students, parents and teachers with simple techniques. The idol of Srinivasa Ramanujan with colourful cubes has become the most spectacular scene. Senior Principal Sri M.V.V.S. Murthy has stated in his speech that students must notice the significance of mathematics and learn calculations with lucid methods. Students, Teachers and In-charges have made this programme a grand success.
