Learning Outcome: Analyze the purpose of various public places:
To enhance learning through real-world experiences, a field trip was organized for Grade 1 students to explore their community. This outing provided students with hands-on experience as they visited several public places, including a library, bus stand, supermarket, and police station.
During the trip, children engaged with people working in these places, learning firsthand how each public place serves a unique role in the community. These interactions helped the children not only understand the purpose of these places but also develop important social skills.
The children had the opportunity to meet:
Superintendent Mr. Prasad at the bus stand,
Cashier Mr. Madhu Babu at the supermarket,
Sub-Inspector Mr. Purushottam at the police station, and
Librarian Mr. Srinivasa Rao at the library.
Each profession explained the specific rules and etiquette that need to be followed in public spaces. At the end of the trip, the students expressed their gratitude, thanking each individual for their valuable time and insights.
