Going on a field trip to a Farm is a great way for kids to experience their connection with the real life experience. Grade 1 children went to a poultry farm to see how chickens are cared for, from the time they arrive as newly hatched chicks until they are ready for market. Children learnt that chicken is the most important produce. Egg producing chickens are used for the production of eggs for sale this trip facilitated the growth of a child sense of self.
