SRIPRAKASH JOSH APPEALS WITH A DIFFERENT MESSAGE

JOSH, a creative festival, regaled 12,000 spectators on 21 Feb. It is not a mere celebration, but the very essence of cultural competitive spirit that today’s students at all levels from KG to PG positively need to sharpen their power of expression.

Gana Gandharva Padma Bhushan SP Bala Subrahmanyam was the Chief Guest of the gala occasion. Sri A A Ramarao Chowdary, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests, AP, Hyderabad, Sri G Srinivas, IPS, Superintendent of Police, East Godavari District, Sri MSK Prasad, Director, Andhra Cricket Association and Dr Kantipudi N Babu, Director, Sri Lakshmi Bhargavi Pharma Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad were the Distinguished Guests who adorned the stage on the splendid occasion.

The programmed started with VANDEMATARAM. In the FLAG HOiSTING ceremony Padmabhushan Bala Subrahmanyam hoisted the National Flag, Sri AA Ramarao Chowdary unfurled the Sri Prakash Flag and Dr Kantipudi N Babu hoisted the Sports Flag. The commanding March Past was a highlight. Sri G Srinivas, IPS, Superintendent of Police, East Godavari District inspected the parade and took Guard of Honour.

The programme gained momentum with the Sports Event—4 x 100 meteres Relay after the release of pigeons into the free skies. Six of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions competed and Sri MSK Prasad gave away the coveted prizes to the winners.

 

The latest issue of PEBBLES, a Quarterly Sri Prakash News Chronicle, to keep the  students and parents abreast of all latest activities taking place in Sri Prakash International Campus at Peddapuram was released by Chief Guest Dr SP Bala Subrahmanyam

Sri Prakash shared a serious concern -- the use of polythene making life hazardous. A novel project to distribute 50,000 Saree Bags got stitched and contributed by the student community of Sri Prakash to replace polythene carry bags in Tuni to clear off the impending environmental hazard was launched by the Chief Guest.

Prakashites contributed the old sarees turned or recycled saree bags with a striking message that all the people had better realise that their old sarees can be effectively reduced or reused or recycled that way. The saree may be lost but the idea to prevent the danger of polythene should live long. They appealed that if at least 10% of spectators followed the message the mother earth would be relieved of pollution.

Students themselves conducted the proceedings. The Live commentary on…Pyramids,Yoga, Rhythmic Exercises, Mallakhamb, Dhimsa, Harvest Festival and Veerabhadra Sambaram was electrifying

In the Swarna Pushpaabhishekam that followed the Padmabhushan S P Bala Subrahmanyam along with his wife Smt Savitri was felicitated. Sri K R J Sarma, a retired Telugu Pandit dedicated the Sanmana Patra. While giving his message the Legendary Playback Singer felt that the youth should relish the age-old values culture has its roots. Children can be rooted in culture and develop their personalities in the gobal world.

Sri A A Ramarao Chowdary looked into the practical way of thinking and positive mindset students are supposed to inculcate from the younger days parents should help there children realize different stage in life. They enjoy there childwood parents should be friends. Sri G Srinivas in his message praised the way the whole programmed was conducted and urged that children should be proved to be famers student should have  beyond degree with right attitude and values Sri MSK Prasad appreciated the efforts taken by Sri Prakash and underlined the importance of all round development sports can be carrier know unless students develop sportive spirit, cant become winners   Dr Kantipudi N Babu exhorted the students to aim high in life student should develop scientific spirit and do there best to make good scientist he appreciated efforts of bioenterpreship on the Sri Prakash Campus Sri Ch V K Narasimharao in his address called for clarity in decision making which can help students excel in their ventures students should have carrier option wide open.

Students from Primary to PG level displayed their talents with 10 carefully chosen cultural items. JOSH WELCOME NUMBER endeared the audience with melody, stirring dance and appealing art. Tholi Vandanam depicted Vinayaka’s life. Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum displayed the Lord Krishna’s leelas in different culture across India. Manishi Devobhava highlighted the humanity lacking in the present society. Yada Yadahi Dharmasya was a power packed scintillating of Dasavataras. Sab Ko Salam underlined the importance of love in the world. Hello, Hello, ‘Hell’ lo emphasized the hazards out of abuse of cell phones. Dancers.com rocked the audience with its mercurial movements. Folkron was a typical Rajasthanini folk number. Panchakshari recalled the clarion call of the Indian Freedom Movement Vandemataram.

In the presentation ceremony Rs 2,00,000/- was donated towards the cause of Polio eradication through the Rotary Club, Tuni. The Rotary Governor received the cheque from the hands of the Chief Guest, who also gave special mementos to the Senior Faculty of Sri Prakash. Prizes were given away for academic excellence and extracurricular brilliance like winning six prizes in the Andhra University Youth Festival and so on. Later all the distinguished Guests were honoured with mementos.

Sri Ch Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, felt that undoubtedly JOSH has turned out to be an inspiring world of action and thanked everyone who had contributed to make it a jubilant success.
