SRI PRAKASH KERINTALU

Sri Prakash KERINTALU (Kids’ Day) was celebrated jubilantly on the evening of March 2, 2012 at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham, Payakaraopeta. It succeeded in nourishing the inner talents of the children from Nursety to V std of Sri Prakash family. More than 1000 students partook in the kaleidoscopic cultural fete and the viewers were regaled every moment they watched the programme in all attention.

The specialty of the latest edition of KERINTALU is the highlighting of the Telugu culture and tradition of the Andhra Pradesh. The participants did not even speak even a single word in any other language except TELUGU. TELUGU hogged the limelight in every way.

Sri Yerrapragada Ramakrishna, an Officer of SBI and eminent orator and the Eenadu Antaryami fame, was the Chief Guest of the function. He gave valuable suggestions to the parents on how to become good parents. The Chief Guest appreciated the gift of the gab and  the efforts of the little performers and the preparatory work behind the unique performances. He remarked that TELUGU was given the due status it very badly deserved in the days of imposing English domination.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

One of the Parent Guests, Smt Upputuri Sarada Devi, Municipal Commissioner, Tuni, was all wonder at the commitment of the little children. She applauded them for their zealous presentation toward excellence. In her message, she exhorted the students to aim at excellence in stead of vaguely pursuing perfectionism which would lead them nowhere in their careers.

Another Parent Guest Sri Alla Venkata Ramakrishna, and LIC Development Officer opined such cultural training for the children enhance social awareness among the young minds, leading to their all round development. He appreciated that the little effort KERINTALU would act as giant leap for their bright future.

Another Parent Guest Smt Gangavelli Pavani, who also happened to be an alumnus of Sri Prakash, felt intensely nostalgic and recollected that she used to be very active in her students trying her hand at every such cultural expo, which helped her stand in a good stead in her life. She remembered all her friends who were also alumni and who were excelling in various successful fields. Her message was simple that students could certainly call their shots if they stepped up to act responsibly by participating in such cultural performances.

The Joint Secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Society, Sri Ch Vijay Prakash in his message felt the need of resorting to living our traditions and culture. He said that our festivals had a great many learning points for every one to emulate for leading a fruitful sociable life. He asserted that KERINTALU was a firm and sincere reminder to everyone around that we should never forget our backbone villages, our classical dances and the unique cultural heritage of Telugus.

The most fascinating part before the culture programme was the graduation ceremony of the U.K.G. children, in the costumes of convocation, with pattas conferred on. Later the academin toppers and the achievers in various state and national level competitions were given away prizes and cash awards. Joint Secretary Sri Ch Vijay Prakash honoured the Chief Guest and the Parent Guests with Sri Prakash mementos.

The programme had started with a melodious welcome number.      The programme continued with several illuminating performances. The recitation of various Telugu Moral Poems took the visitors to their golden days of schooling. Mana Devalayalu spread over the rich mantle of various religious abodes as a mark of our unparalleled national integrity. Mana Nayakulu emphasized the need of the hour that every youngster should be well aware of our resounding history which moulded many exemplary leaders. Mana Pandugalu with a lilting melodious tune stole the hearts of the audience all alike irrespective of their religion and faith. Mana Grama Devatalu kept everyone on their toes for the amazing performance, depicting how devoted the common people were in their religious fervour. The last but not the least item, a Patriotic Number aroused the spirit of nationalism in the thousands of spectators who thronged spacious Sri Prakash Sports Ground to witness the kaleidoscopic celebration.

Smt B Seeta Rani, HM, Sri Prakash Primary School, Tuni, monitored the programme acting as the Convener. Principal Sri MVVS Murthy, HMs Smt T Leela Ratna Kumari and Sri Paresh Kumar Dash and AHMs Smt T Sandhya Rani and Smt A Usha Rani were also present at the glittering celebration. The programme entertained thousands of parents and the other visitors. Most of the parents felt these programmes would be helpful for the all round development of their kids. The Joint Secretary Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash presented a memento to the Chief Guest.
