SRI PRAKASH RIMZHIM ROARS FOR TALENTS
The children’s day reverberated with the inauguration of the eighth edition of “Rim – Zhim” a colourful Sri Prakash Inter-School competition in literary, theatrical, cultural and athletic events at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham, Payakarao Peta. As per one of the UNESCO papers – “learning about, and through, the arts stimulates cognitive development and endows students with the ability to engage in the creative process, that is, use imagination, critical thinking, and physical and mental skills to generate a unique creation. It is argued that by engaging in this process, students gain self-esteem and confidence in their abilities, therefore becoming more motivated and productive”. Hence, competitions are designed in various aspects like literary, theatrical, cultural and athletic events.
On the opening ceremony the typical child guests on stage were Chy. P. Shreya, Chy. N. Swati Rekha, Chy. K. Jitendra Teja and Chy. T. Vijaya Lakshmi, who acted as teachers and administrators on the Teachers’ day and won the appreciation of both the teachers and students. Addressing the gather in their “welcome note” Chy. Rajeswari and Chy. Bhavya Aashika opined, “Foundations laid in the academics at a young age are known to play a very important role in enabling us to get the right entry into Higher Educational Courses and in driving our performance in the Competitive examinations and beyond”. Chy. K. Rajashree and Chy. A. Swarna who managed the proceedings felt a student should have intelligence, common sense and presence of mind to become success in their life. A live exhibition of the above talents was presented through a PANEL DISCUSSION on the topic “The Value and the Significance of Discipline”. Sri. M. V. V. S Murthy, principal, Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan took the charge of the moderator for the above panel discussion. The child guests responded wonderfully for all the questions posed not only by the moderator but also the audience. They received a good appreciation from the audience. Sri. Ch. Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary, Sri Prakash Educational Society, while appreciating the team of anchors impressed, “Whoever acquires talent and does not exhibit it resembles who ploughs his land and leaves it unsown” in mind. and exhorted every student to showcase their talents on this lively platform. Head Masters Smt. T. Leela Ratna Kumari and Sri. Paresh Kumar Dash, Sri. V. Ravi Kumar and Smt. B. Sita Rani, and Principals Sri. Ibrahim, Sri. Bhanu Murty, Sri. Veer Raju , Sri. Bangaru Raju and Sri. Siva Rama Krishna attended the function.
