In what turned out to be “Traffic Safety Awareness Campaign” at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham, Juvenile students and Auto and Private Vehicle drivers from the surrounding three mandals got a good lot of sound advice from the top cops of the district.
Sri H. Malleswara Rao, C.I. Elamanchini circle, while speaking observed that most of the road accidents are due to breaking the basic traffic rules. He warned against top speed. Vishal Gunni, ASP, Narsipatnam Sub-division urged the students to wear helmets and the seat belt and never to speak on cell phone while on drive. He felt that parents should ensure the precautionary measures whenever their children go for an outing.
Dr.Koya Praveen, IPS, Rural S.P.Visakhapatnam Rural, pointed out that life is precious and youngsters who mostly lose their lives in untimely accidents should avoid rash driving. Auto drivers should give way to heavy vehicles and it will help avert most of the deadly accidents. He assured that he would get the accident-prone areas identified to prevent such accidents.
Later he released the pamphlet prepared by Sri Prakash Educational Institution and Narsipatnam Police Sub-division jointly on the said Traffic Awareness Campaign. He initiated the students and private vehicle drivers to take an oath on following the traffic rules. The senior police officers visited the poster painting gallery and gave away prizes to the winners in their debate and poster painting competitions.
Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary promised the police officers that he would bring out an active awareness among the youngsters by ensuring against triple ride on bikes and cell phone chatting while on drive.
Later, Sri Ch.V.K.Narasimharao garu, Correspondent of Sri Prakash felicitated the Police Officials with mementos.
