Students of grade – 5 paid a visit to the dairy farm, bio gas plant and vermin composting of P.R. Peta campus.
In the dairy farm they were informed different breeds of buffaloes and cows and the fodder given to them and came to know that 1250 litres of milk is produced daily.
Processing of milk and separation of fat and cream was keenly observed through machines.
In the bio gas plant they observed the raw materials collected and the tanks used for the production of bio gas.
In the vermin composting they got the knowledge of the raw materials and red worms which are used to prepare the compost.
They also observed the prepared bio fertilizer through vermin composting.
