Can children develop an entrepreneurial mindset through classroom learning alone? Perhaps not. Real-life experiences inspire children to think creatively, solve problems, make informed decisions, and appreciate the value of hard work.
At Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Annavaram , we believe that true education extends beyond the classroom. As part of this vision, our Grade 4 students visited a nearby paddy field along the Annavaram National Highway to experience farming firsthand.
The children enthusiastically stepped into the well-ploughed field, interacted with the farm labourers, and happily joined them in planting paddy saplings. They learned about the different stages of paddy cultivation, the crop's growth period, common diseases, irrigation, and the marketing of harvested produce.
The farm labourers patiently answered the students' thoughtful questions and shared the challenges and dedication involved in farming. This real-life interaction helped the children understand the importance of agriculture and develop deep respect for the farmers who nourish our nation.
Filled with gratitude and admiration, the students proudly chanted "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan." They returned to school with joyful hearts, unforgettable memories, and a renewed appreciation for the dignity of labour, teamwork, and the invaluable contribution of our farming community.
